The Good Feet Store - Midwest is Hiring a District Manager Near San Antonio, TX

District Manager
America’s #1 Arch Support Company, The Good Feet Store, is growing, and we are looking to add to our leadership team! With 26 locations across the Midwest and South, we're poised for remarkable growth, planning to double our stores in the next 3-5 years. We are searching for a passionate, empathetic, committed, and results-oriented District Manager. This person will help to drive the growth of our multi-store operations and inspire employees to be the best versions of themselves while providing a best-in-class customer experience.

  • Competitive compensation – This will be a base and commission role with an on-target earning of $140-$180K annually.

Essential Functions:
  • Actively support your District stores in their daily efforts to ensure that we have the proper direction for excelling in our day-to-day operations – this includes being on the floor and leading sales by example.
  • Coach and develop team members in your stores to surpass performance expectations while preparing them to take on new roles and responsibilities.
  • Acquire top talent through direct involvement in the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding process.
  • Develop a deep bench of well-trained talent by focusing on performance management and succession planning.
  • Track daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual metrics to measure success and make strategic decisions to surpass company goals.
  • Constantly communicate and manage high expectations for customer experience.
  • Lead by example in all areas and be a role model for excellence in all that we do.
  • Develop and oversee upward reporting to ensure HQ leadership is connected to the field.
  • Ensure your locations are operating at appropriate staffing levels and anticipate future needs.
  • Assist in the opening of new store locations within your territory.
  • Responsible for resolving elevated customer service issues.
  • Manage store-level P&L within the company budget.
  • Create a work environment that inspires and motivates employees and positions The Good Feet Store as a premium employer in each market.
 
Job Specifications:
  • This role will have heavy travel for the first 60 days and then will have travel in your home market. We will cover rental cars, hotels, and flights.
  • 5 years of Leadership and Management experience of multi-location teams.
  • Demonstrated ability in providing hands-on training and onboarding to create high-performing teams.
  • Experience managing unit level P&L’s.
  • Proven ability to create a strong team culture of accountability and dedication to excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate others in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Analytical and critical thinking ability, including solving complex problems under pressure and adapting to internal and external changes.
  • Understanding of financial statements and ability to manage budgets.
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution.
  • Exceptional sales and customer service skills are required.
  • Must live in a city with a large airport.
 
We Have Fantastic Retail Hours:
Monday - Friday: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
 
Work Environment
The job operates in a professional retail environment. 
Physical Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a weekly basis
  • Ability to reach overhead into the back of shelving units to maintain inventory
  • Ability to work independently in a store during scheduled shifts
